About Us

Texas roots. Colombian heart. Coffee with purpose.

My name is Dale Weaver, though in Colombia they call me Don Dale.
My wife is Colombian. Our son was born in Texas.
Two worlds, one family, tied together by faith, hard work, and coffee.

My wife’s family still has land in the mountains of Tolima.
Her father used to grow his own coffee and roast it by hand.
The first time I tasted it, I knew I was drinking something rare.
Pure. Honest. Real.
The best coffee I ever had.

I can’t take every Texan or American to Colombia to sit on a porch and drink homemade coffee with the family.
But I can bring them the next best thing
specialty coffee sourced from Tolima, grown by families who still work the land the right way.

After retiring from the Army, I wanted to do two things:
bring real coffee to my fellow Texans and give something back to Colombia.
My father‑in‑law faced serious medical challenges, and I saw firsthand how hard it is to get care in rural Colombia.
When I discovered Funsebas through Give Colombia, I knew I had found a way to help.
Small, focused, life‑changing work.
The kind that matters.

I’ve always loved history.
My first degree was in International Studies.
I understand the weight carried by small farmers around the world —
men and women who pick coffee by hand,
who farm sustainably,
who depend on fair‑trade principles to survive.

So I built the Texas Colombia Trading Company LLC
and created Come and Serve Coffee
to share their story, honor their work, and help as many people as possible experience at least one great cup of coffee in their lives.

This is more than coffee.
It’s family.
It’s service.
It’s a bridge between Texas and Colombia.
And it’s my mission to share it with you.
